[CW] Keeping CW alive

    Reminds me of those conventions where everyone has a lapel badge 
saying "Hello I'm BRAD" or whatever. Each shakes hands and walks on. 
Perhaps there should be a signal for "I want a rag chew" , maybe there 
is and I don't know it.
    In the very early days of wireless ops liked to chew the rag but 
were stopped because it was was not efficient for commercial purposes. 
Maybe a century or more later hams have nothing to say. However, I do 
hear long conversations going on so its possible.
