    A caution with Crocus cloth is to be careful that no residue 
of coating is left on the contacts. It is conductive and can 
cause problems with relays, etc., if any of the abrasive is left 
behind. Otherwise, it works well.
    Also, burnishing tools are available, this is the old 
telephone company standard. See:
