[CW] Meaning of di-di-di-dah-di

I always heard it meant understood and I felt that is the reason with have it as the prefix of our ham call signs.

I hear it often after one stations ends his transmission, and the other responds :

"di di di dah dit  W2ABC de K3XYZ .....  fine on the...... " etc.
