[CW] Technical question

Lately I've been seeing a lot of amateur radio chatter regarding “grids”. Nice to see those kinds of technical discussion, since I grew up having to know a lot about grids. It was on all the tests.

Maybe I'm losing my grip on technology, but most of the posts are quite ambiguous. I can't tell if they're talking about control grids, screen grids, suppressor grids, or grounded grids.

And what's the deal with square grids? Most tubes are round.

Confused.
