[CW] Tapping Out SOS

These were the predecessors of the Altec A2 system. The T-350
was an excellent tweeter and made a big difference. I also added
them to some JBL horn systems using the 375 driver for mid range.
The 375 was a permanent magnet version of the old Western
Electric 594 which cut off pretty sharply at 8kc. For motion
picture sound tracks it didn't matter much because there was
nothing in them above that but for hi fi systems is made a huge
difference.
The A-4 was a good speaker with good stereo imaging. The RCA
systems I had were about four times the size.
I agree about the power. The extra headroom (or dynamic
range) makes it cleaner. These theater systems were designed to
be efficient at a time when amplifier power was very expensive.
