BLOOD LEGACY - THE MURDER OF BOB CARIS, W2HXI of Southampton, NY, one of
the finest bug senders I've ever known. I knew the man who was brutally
murdered. Bob worked for Amagansett Radio / WSL sending and receiving Morse
code messages to and from ships all over the world. He used a Vibroplex
semi-automatic key, and he sent so amazingly well, that it was surely music
to any ship's radio officer. This tragedy gets even worse because of
liberalism where (sadly) women can erode justice by claiming abuse, even if
their claims are fraudulent. I believe the murderer was released from
prison for what the governor of NY termed leniency. We are a nation of laws
and though there are times for equity in law, this murder was meticulously
planned, carried out and hidden from others. Surely the murderer was
mentally ill, but even the mentally ill know murder is wrong.
