I later found it on Archive.org and posted the URL. Someone
has found a web source and posted that.
You may still want to add it to the archive. Signal Electric
was an important manufacturer of telegraph equipment and one of
the longest surviving.
I posted the brochure mostly because of the catalog entry for
this key but its interesting for itself: it is a short
instruction book on learning the code. At the beginning the code
is shown in a peculiar looking table. It is an illustration of
the code "plate" (don't know the right term) which is on some
practice sets. One runs a stylus across the embossed code and
produces the letters. I think this same arrangement was used on
some "toy" telegraph sets and maybe on one sold to the Boyscouts.
It does have the advantage of producing the code as sound
directly rather than sending it to yourself via a key and
_reading_ it.
Keep in mind that telegraph operators could make a good
living and it was considered a desirable job for a long time, so
there was ample inspiration to learn the code.
