I found a brochure from Signal Electric in my files. I don't
know where I got it. Its entitled "Fundamentals of Wireless
Telegraphy" There is no indication of the date. About half of it
is a catalog of Signal products, among them is a key which they
call the Sematic, it is billed as Semi-Automatic or Double Action
and its indicated it will work as a sideswiper. It looks like a
bug but has two levers, one on each side. One is almost certainly
a circuit closer but the other may be a lever to switch the key
from "bug" mode to "sideswiper" mode. Its price is listed as
$18.00 which would not have been cheap for any date from the
1930s to 1950s. I wonder if anyone knows anything about this key
or perhaps has one. I have never seen one. As above I don't
remember the source of the brochure but could post it to the list
if anyone is interested. I thought this might be a good place to
ask about it.
