[CW] A Call to Arms

A number of states have already passed laws to make the local minimum wage $15, including California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York. Florida became the latest state to pass a law upping its minimum wage to $15 during the November election.
And “the administration” (as much as I’d like to blame him) didn’t hatch this plan. It was forced on FCC by a bill passed in congress.

Where are burger flippers earning 15 bucks? They are getting around $7.50 here. I am agitated that I have only a year left on my ticket here, and they are going to want ANY money. We fought this battle already, won, and now this administration, with only weeks left, is going to remove the win, just like everything else they have done, or tried to do.

Enough with the “financial burden on youth” jeremiads.
As a youthful Sailor in 1958, earning $80 a month, $8 (for 5 years) was 3 days pay.
As a youthful burger flipper today, earning $15 an hour minimum wage, $50 (for 10 years) is 3 hours and 20 minutes pay.
