I am sorry to hear the news of your father's passing.  He was a friend for
many years. I heard about it because someone posted this to the 600m
Research Group email list:

Indeed your father was our grandfather in spirit as we pioneered in the new
land below the medium wave broadcast band that was one of the very first
parts of the radio spectrum used.  Until 1999 it was used for Morse Code
communications for sending messages and of course, SOS.

We of the USA ARRL 600m research group send our sympathies and prayers.
