    If you mean a mechanical office typewriter the prices below 
might be for a completely restored, like new machine. No one 
needs that but a collector. You can find much cheaper machines 
even on ebay. Anyone who is serious should ask at the Typewriter 
mailing list at:

create a list
    The biggest problem is having machines shipped because they 
are very delicate.
