Let see if I can briefly say a little more:
ebook2cw - this is a very powerful tool. It can take: an ebook, or an
email, or even a file with just "hello there" and it will create an MP3
file (or files. If you give it a book it chunks it so the mp3 files are not
enormous). Google ebook2cw manual. With options you can set farnsworth, set
tone, even change some keying characteristics. So "text" becomes mp3 as cw,
no tutor/trainer required.
cwpt - reads input text of your choosing, with an option it finds strings
(words) with the characters you specified (upper and lower case English is
default) - IT IGNORES everything else. So "one, two" would be ignored due to
embedded comma. With a few other options, non alphas can be added to
practice text as:
suffixes, prefixes, word delimiters, (same for prosigns). Also cwpt is
going to randomize the input!
Other options will do code groups instead of words (no input text needed)
or a mixture.
You would NOT use cwpt to read a book, unless you are a savant and your
brain is going to reorder the text.
Each line below is an example of what might be created depending on the
options. (each is a separate run)
cat rat cheese ate it (just words)
cat123 rat4 cheese.,? ate it5,8 (words with suffixes)
12rat 4cheese .,?4ate it (words with prefixes)
1rat? 34ate5 (prefixes and suffixes)
cheese 33 rat ,.? ate 4 it 12,, (words separated by delimiters)
cheese <SK> rat ate <AS> cat (randomly use a prosign instead of a word)
cheese rat 34a,fd it ate =,3zx, cat (a code group every third word)
12ds4 dsd4.. fdfdf3 fdfyy5 (traditional code groups)
cheese cheese rat rat ate ate it it (every word repeated X times)
YOU choose what numbers, and punctuation to use separately as suffix,
prefix, delimiters, code groups.
These are the main things used to create a text file to feed to the tutor
of your choice.
If you are an LCWO user - you get another half dozen options that insert on
the fly speed control.
These have links at the bottom of my home page which play a short mp3 so I
won't repeat examples here.
If you use any of these options, you can either cut and paste the output
intp LWCOs "convert text to cw" link and play directly; or you can give the
file to ebook2cw and create an mp3 that you can send to your PC or phone
for later play.
So this last part is what David put in italics. It combines speed features
of ebook2cw and my coding to create some non-typical practice that might be
good for head copy, building, speed, or just mental torture ;-) This is
done by my options inserting ebook2cw inline options within the text file.
I'm not aware of any other tool that does this - time will tell if its
helpful.
Hope this helps some. Feel free to email me directly if you have a specific
question and don't want to inundate the reflector.

P.S. Last thought, cwpt has many options - put them in an options file (see
-opt) and you will probably rarely do a lot of command line entry. I have 3
or 4 options files for different purposes so I can just type "cwpt.exe -opt
file1" rather than "cwpt.exe -min=3 -max=8 -num=100 -in=WarAndPeace.txt etc
etc"
