   On the power outage: Since you have a good idea of what went 
out can you find a breaker that affects these areas? It may be 
that you have one that overheated for some reason and came back 
when it cooled. Should be replaced.
   Around here I get power failures pretty frequently despite 
being in the big city. The problem is mostly old DWP equipment 
but last time it was a lightening strike on a power pole maybe a 
block from here. Power across the street comes from a different 
source and never fails. They just replaced about half a dozen 
poles down the street, maybe it will help but I think not.
