What a thrill!
Back in 1960, at age 11, I took my novice exam in the home/radio museum of
Ed Raser, W2ZI (ex 2ZI - SK). After I passed the test, Ed had me send a
single CQ on a spark transmitter set up in the museum, than laughed and
said "You're a real ham now. You just knocked out every TV within a half
mile."
