A wonderful resource that many of us did not have, we had to listen to
static and fading signals :-)
Or worse, 40 meter Novice band at night with Radio Moscow QRM every 5 kHz
and we had inexpensive receivers dictated by our newcomer's budget.
Oh, Halicrafters, Heathkit, KnightKit, and the like were of no use but
neither were the expensive sets, it did sharpen our mental fine tuning
and QRM reducing brains though.
