We here aboard USS SLATER DE766 operate on Saturdays and Sundays without
a regular schedule. We're usually on 40 and 20 but we can operate all
HF bands 80 through 10. We have a modern CW/SSB station (Elecraft
K2/100) hidden in a period Navy cabinet in our authentically restored
Radio Central. We also operate a rare RCA TBL-8 CW/AM on 80 and 40 and
we have RAK, RAL, RBA and RBB receivers. We never miss Museum Ships
Weekend and we plan to be on the air Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.
We are the last WW2 destroyer escort of 563 built that's still afloat in
America. Check out WW2DEM. 73, Stan WB2LQF.
