From photos on the web it appears that E.F. Johnson did
change to the three feet pattern. In some photos of Les Logan
keys and the earlier "Johnson" keys feet can be seen at the rear
corners. However, my key does not seem to be an E.F.Johnson key
and has three feet. There is no indication that it once had four
feet. Also, on mine the feet are held on by screws. I can not
find any photos on the web exactly like mine. It has the
"reverse" bridge but not the carrying ears of the Les Logan keys.
The dot paddle is asymmetrical and can be mounted with the high
side either up or down (I guess that makes it the low side). No
label or any sign there ever was a label. There appear to be many
variations of this key.
Mine is the slowest bug I have, maybe 15WPM. This list
doesn't accept attachments or I would take a picture of it.
