[CW] Two New Amateur Bands

Hello Ron et al

If it is of interest, & supporting David R's comment re EIRP, apart from the
portable station including a homebrew QTX portable tx in tandem with the TT
535 Argonaut II as the receiver for 630m, the home station makes 5.006W EIRP
when my Belgian SAIT ET-150 ex-marine xtal locked tx 10-30-50W) excites my
833A monoband 630m amp, producing 326W output.

Yes I guess the 6L6 line-up might not set off Corona effects & wild fires
all over town, but my view is that ANYTHING making legal RF on the low bands
is much better that having no skyhook up & no RF feeding it.that creates
only armchair warriors.

I have heard that the short antenna requirements demand something

like a kW to get the permitted maximum equivalent isotropically

radiated power (EIRP) of 5 W. (the 6L6s are out of the running)

   Ron KA4INM - Youvan's corollary:

Every action results in unwanted side effects.
