There already is, and has been for several years.  Ham band crystals have become practically extinct at hamfests.  You can find plenty of oddball non-amateur frequencies, particularly in the 5 and 8 MHz range, but amateur frequencies have become extremenly rare.  Don’t know what happened to them all, or who has been hoarding them, but it’s sure to get worse.
