OT:  International Crystal Going Out of Business

Fifty years ago many of us used crystals in our transmitters, sometimes the
expensive variable frequency oscillators (VFO) were difficult to get
working perfectly, often there was some chirp or poor wave shape.

Now the last big supplier is going out of business.

In 1970 all the scanners needed crystals, CB transceivers needed crystals,
taxi cabs, police, fire department, two-way radio was crystal controlled.

How things change!
