[CW] Correct key for B-17 WWII bomber?

I'm a victim of misinformation then, as I heard that the J-38 was only
used for teaching and that the J-37 was used in the field where a lost
spring could be disastrous as it makes sending nearly impossible,
while the J-37 had a permanently mounted leaf spring under the lever
and not a coiled steel spring like the J-38.
