Another old TTY guy? Worked in an USAF WU Plan 55 automatic switching
center at Andrews AFB. Our LBXD readers ran 24/7. Sometimes,
on a Sunday night, they might get a break.
Oil was one culprit then too and the alcohol worked great. And, it got
into our open frame relays as well. So, a burnishing tool in our pocket as
well as the paper stips and little bottle of alcohol. I think some techs
use vodka around the holidays! ☺
