It is not all we wanted, but at least it is a good start.

This is good news that needs everyone's help!

Late Monday the US House of Representatives passed The Amateur Radio Parity Act (HR-1301). This represents a very important step forward in our efforts to give the 68 million residents of deed-restricted communities the opportunity to have a reasonable antenna.

The next step will be taken in the US Senate, with your help, and ultimately we expect the legislation to be signed by the President.

You will be receiving an e-mail message later today with information on how to easily generate letters to your two Senators in support of The Amateur Radio Parity Act. This was originally introduced in the Senate as S-1685 but has been revised and approved in the House as HR-1301 after the ARRL worked with the Community Association Institute (represents home owner associations) to find language both
organizations now support.

You can find more information on The Amateur Radio Parity Act at: http://www.arrl.org/amateur-radio-parity-act

Thanks in advance for your help - letters to your Senator are a crucial part of getting this legislation passed.

73 -- David N1EA

Thanks!
