We should be discreet with the articles.  The constant barrage we now see in the current ham publications about “stealth” antennas, and the frequent comments suggesting that hams should keep their antennas hidden whenever possible, is creating a culture that the “normal” antenna is stealth and that we should go out of our way to keep our antennas invisible even when there aren’t any formal HOA or zoning restrictions. 

 

A crappy antenna is better  than no antenna, but we should encourage hams to stand our ground and put up effective antennas whenever we are not absolutely prohibited from doing so.

Are you saying a ham shouldn't get on the air if the only thing he can erect is a compromise, stealthy antenna?  Or are you just saying no one should publish articles about it?
