This paddle is interesting, there probably isn't two of these.
I wonder what the base is made from.
I have used March's paddles, they seem very nice.
I just cannnot have them all. I'm lucky I bought two of the first "Ultra"
high end paddles, the N2DAN paddle "The Mercury" and the WBL V2L.
I like them both, the N2DAN works very nicely and is not a delicate
paddle. I packed it wrapped in foam and went by air and ship all over the
world with it with my Curtis EK42 keyer with the CP Clare HGJMS 50 VA
mercury wetted relay and a 1 M ohm resistor with a small capacitor both in
parallel to ground out the KICK BACK from the relays in the maritime radio
stations. The current was over 200 milliamps at around 130 volts D.C. for
the keying relays on the station, the HF radio transmitter was a bit higher
in current about 300 ma, but because one was positive voltage switched
against ground and the other was negative voltage against ground, I could
not use a backwards diode to cause the kick back induced current from the
relay coils to shunt it to ground, so I devised that 1 M ohm resistor with
a small capacitor circuit, I think I also put a 140 volt radial varistor
across the keyline for good measure. My previous method was to just
"Thump" the relay when the contacts fused from the kickback current. After
the non-polarized relay protection circuit was incorporated, it played like
a champ with no thumping the relay to unfuse the contacts.
Curtis keyers had a great history, well, except for the "Li'l Bugger"
problem with marketing it's last excellent keyer in the UK. It seems the
choice of words for the name of the model was an unfortunate one that made
the importers ask for the product to be imported "in plain cardboard
boxes". :-)

I think the EK-430 mentioned in the article above should be EK-43. Or
maybe I am wrong and my keyer is an EK-430 and I keep on calling it an
EK-43, it's not near by or I'd look. John Curtis passed on a few years ago
and he was honored just before his death by the www.vwoa.org who
incidentally will be having it's last Awards Luncheon on June 14, 2015 -
celebrating 90 years this year and then winding down. It is a great
organization.
