Hi Bob,

 

Sounds like An old "058".  Stationed at Homestead AFB 1962 to 1964 copying
Russians and Cubans.

I was a Morse intercept operator in Germany 1960-1963, the Russians were
able to get it sent with a hand key, however some of the Czech's used an
electronic keyer and if you couldn't copy 40-45 wpm you had better have a
tape recorder ready to go. I still have my commercial radiotelegraph license
and hope that CW is around for a long time-

Excellent!   Reminds me of my early days being (re)trained in
Army Morse sitting at a desk with a row of Unit Operator No.1
Mk.2s!

Still hear quite a bit of Russian Army morse, especially since
this Ukraine business started.  There were a couple on 5MHz last
night passing coded traffic.  As usual excellent operators...
