Somebody please explain what is "experimental" about 475Kc.  55 years ago I used that QRG for routine communications on the high seas.  Now it's a big deal if heard in a nearby state?

The frequency will be 475 kHz. I'll use my JRC NSC17M maritime reserve transmitter operating into my Marconi L antenna. Not a powerhouse like KSM, but in CW mode this setup has received reception reports in Wisconsin and surrounding states during the day, and throughout this region of the country at night.
