That is quite readable. Ive heard "regular" cw that sounds about as
rough as that, coming out of Africa and the Middle East. Ive always
wondered what it sounded like, with a half dozen or more stations
sending to each other, with spark. Since it was so wide banded, I
suspect you had to just pick a signal and try to stick with it and hope
the QSB didn't go up and down so badly that your brain picked out the
wrong one. That would be an interesting "test" if the FCC would just
allow it one time. I am sure there are enough rebuilt, or even new,
spark transmitters out there that it would be a fun event.
