I have a pristine, mint 10 out of 10 Dyna Maniflex Chrome Sideswiper
made especially for me in 2014 by Alberto.  It has minimal "chatter"
when properly adjusted and operated.  You can read about it in the NAQCC
April Newsletter at:   http://www.naqcc.info/newsletter_202.pdf
The key's finish is something you can't get in the U.S. due to
Environmental rules concerning the chroming process.  Albert's
reputation is to produce his products with the hidden side finish
equivalent to those areas that are easily visible.

The CW Reflector group gets this sale offer before others.  I'll wait a
few days for any responses and then ramp up the advertising.

My price to Italy is $250 USD plus my actual shipping costs to US/Italy.
If you live elsewhere please  contact me first at wb2lqf at arrl.net.
 Prefer PayPal.

Such an incredibly reasonable selling price demands an explanation to my
CW friends here on the Reflector.  Here it is:  After well over fifty
years in ham radio and ALWAYS hand sent and hand copied or mill copied
CW, I am selling all of my gear and going CL.  For several years I've
been battling Chronic Leukemia.  While I am pleased to report that the
cancer has responded well to the medication I am on - and has not gotten
any worse - it destroyed most of my immune system before it was under
good control.

Therefore after nearly going west in 2014 with Legionnaire's Disease and
having an equally life threatening experience in 2015 with Fungal
Meningitis, my doctor decided to put me on a tried and proved therapy
(been in use since pre-WWII) called "immunoglobulin."  Once every 4
weeks, I have to undergo a five hour IV that puts the immune system
antibodies that my own body can no longer produce.  The GREAT news is
that I've been on it for four months now and have not had even a single
infection!  I must remain on this therapy for the rest of my life.

The bad news is that the side effects are well known and can be quite
severe including headaches and shakiness.  I can no longer hand send
Morse and I can no longer write out CW by hand or copy on my electronic
mill.

Everything is gone except a small portable SWR meter and an SEC1235M
power supply.

My plans to keep myself busy are to order a post WWII training course on
tube radio maintenance and to brush up.  While I can no longer control a
soldering tip, I think I may be able be successful with a 250 watt
Weller gun and big parts.  It might be fun to find an old receiver and
work slowly and deliberately over time to bring an old, forgotten relic
to life.

I also just renewed my Amateur ticket so in case I miraculously get
better I can get back into ham radio in the blink of an eye.  Nice thing
about ham radio -- unlike so many other hobbies, ham radio has remained
affordable over the years..One can get in and reenter at will. Haven't
most of us been and done this?

Once a year the Maritime Radio Historical Society returns stations KPH,
KSM and KFS to the air. Other stations including WLO, KLB, NMC, and NOJ
often join in. In 2007, Coast Guard station NMN was also heard for the
first time since the US Coast Guard ended the use of Morse. Calls from
ships at sea make the event seem as if the golden age of maritime radio
has returned.

Night of Nights (NON) celebration info can be found on
 http://radiomarine.org/ <http://radiomarine.org/> .

Local visitors can go visit starting at 3 PM  Sunday 12 July 2015 until
closing time.
