"Before computers there was radio".  Not all but many hams are indeed 
autistic, mostly the Asperger variety of autism. I am one of those. When 
I learned of Asperger syndrome at age 46, suddenly my entire life 
experiences made sense. It's not just code either,

I trrust my fellow hams to not make a nasty joke of it as much of the 
public does.
