Thanks, Benny. There are a couple email groups where the experimental operators sometimes may post their schedules.

One I've been using for a while:
     http://w7ekb.com/mailman/listinfo/600mrg_w7ekb.com
One I heard about today:
     https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/600m/info

I should post to this group when I run the CW beacon as well.

Two-way CW contacts are more haphazard - when someone sees that WSPR signals are getting strong then its time to break out the key.

HI STEVE

INTERESTING. I COULD HEAR A STATION NEAR DALLAS ABOUT 125 MILES FROM ME WITH MY OLD DRAKE SPR4 WHEN HE WAS USING CW. IS THERE A WAY YOU EXPERIMENTAL FOLKS CAN LET US LISTENERS KNOW WHEN YOU WILL BE ON THE AIR IN CW?

CONGRATS ON YOUR RT LICENSE AND OPERATING AT KSM. I HAD A SECOND RT FROM 81 THRU 91 AND LET IT GO. I TRIED TO GET IT BACK A COUPLE OF YEARS LATER AND THE FCC WANTED NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT BACK THEN. I AM HAPPY YOU WERE ABLE TO DO IT.

Last night I had a lot of fun on 630 meters. Quite a few experimental-licensed stations were transmitting in the WSPR mode, and even more non-licensed stations were receiving and reporting.

Here's a map showing everyone my station heard, or was heard by, on the WSPR mode...

Notice the reports from Europe, Alaska, and Hawaii. Very cool!

WSPR's S/N reporting is useful to know when propagation is good enough to support normal contacts. When the S/N ratios are higher then it is time to go to CW... where I made two CW contacts with Pennsylvania and Texas experimental stations. Conditions seem to be getting better as we move into winter.

Details on my 630m station...
