Not only did every transmission need to be logged, but a certain amount of on air time had to be accumulated in the log in order to justify license renewal.
And, we had to monitor CONELRAD in case WWIII started while we were on the air.
And we needed to notify the Engineer in Charge for all portable operations, even in our own call area.
And, if we moved, we needed to get another call in the new area.
Yep, I remember well! A half a century ago.
