Me too Ron!!! Many years ago, I used to run the SAT Night 4RN regional traffic net. It was really something. When I would sometimes be ‘just’ the GA rep on some other night, the level of expertise for an AMATEUR traffic net was amazing. You’d go off freq to hook up with your guy, and a string of 25-40wpm messages would be passed; generally with nothing more than a single dit between messages. A complete RGR for all at the end. Awesome!

Subject: [CW] What a pleasure!
I was just sitting here studying a circuit/manual and listening to 80 meters CW on my R390. It occurred to me that I was listening to both sides of a QSO with the filter set on the .1 kc bandwidth. What a pleasure to hear a couple of “senior” operators who know how to send CW and who took the time to zero beat each other. they were trucking along between 25 and 30 wpm and it was like sitting in the same room listening to the conversation!
Gosh I love CW!
