To the real Morse operators, they claimed there was ne'er a signal they
couldn't copy.
Many times it was the poor senders who had lots of traffic - and at 50
cents a word that income increased every day, a 300 word message was
$150.00 income, paid my pay for the day.
I remember the Frenchman whom I called and I could copy NIL he was so bad,
I finally managed to get from him how happy he was as he hadn't had a
contact in months and he had had a stroke.
Of course most of the poor code is from people who should practice or sober
up before they send.
