 Fernando, I guess our "great minds" must be in semi-sync; we had very 
similar solutions.  Until I saw your Youtube video I would never have 
guessed that just the weight of the brass tube could be so effective.  I 
vote for *your* version!
 
I see we also use red and black alligator clips but, while I've been 
unscrewing the finger nuts to expose the bolt for the alligator clip, 
you just put that flat terminal on.  Another epiphany moment!
