As I understand it, one of the reasons Heathkit went out of business was
that it could no longer produce kits at a cost to successfully compete
against pre-assembled radios, especially from Japan.
That is something a new Heathkit will have to address as well as a
population that is much less inclined to build anything than that of 30
years ago.
I hope they succeed.
