Off topic for the CW Reflector, but since even CW ops need antennas and some have trouble with space, I found this excellently done article about the cobweb antenna popular in the UK.

 

I don't know about the pure copper multi-strand audio cable - audio folks have been trying to say that pure copper is much better for 30 years and I have laughed at them since then.  Maybe on RF the multi-strand works - like Litz wire does.

 

Here's the link without further comments except to say it's not a beam but a omni directional horizontal full size dipole that is folded.

This one works all the HF bands from 20 meters and down.
