Bill's call was N0HFF.
Sorry for the typographical error.
HFF = Happy Friendly Fellow.
I am the Happy Friendly Grouch = HFG perhaps.

Don't seem very grouchy to me. Thank you for posting
this. I think I have the first edition but not the second.
As you know I've been struggling with code since I first
learned it at about twelve. I think I am one of those who
learned it the wrong way. These days there is a lot of
practice material so I try to practice every day. The
advice given in the page on the Candler system is good,
especially the part about not going beyond getting tired. I
stumbled on the idea of learning to read in my head rather
than trying to write everything down on my own but I have
had to erase a lot of old learning. The Kotch trainer is
very helpful as is the W1AW files on line and the more
recent CNN Morse feed. Its almost like having the old press
transmissions back. Code fascinates me and has been a
life-long endeavor.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all. This is
one of my favorite lists, full of good people.
