[CW] Good Sounding Sidetone or Code Practice Oscillator Kit

I prefer something like the signals we used to hear. Brash, chirpy,
fading. hehe. I have the Boy Scouts build a simple key, and
oscillator (if you can call it that) from a old computer part (the thing
that covers the hole in the back of the case- covering slots for added
cards). Bend it, put a screw in one end to hold it, and another screw
under the other end for a contact. Wire it to a battery, and a buzzer
from the shack, and viola, a signal just like we used to hear. Give
them perfect oscillator sounds, and when it comes to copying off the
air, its much more simple. Meantime, if they hear a lousy signal, they
can copy it. It would be hard to describe some of the chirpy, caustic
signals I copied, back in my army days, and early ham radio. Remember
all those signals coming out of home brew in Russia?

I used the 555 as a timer for a circuit to time my enlarger in the dark
room. Worked quite well for that.
