[CW] VR2UW - Ray from HK Pounding in on 18069

I worked Ray 4 days ago, on 17, for the first time. He was just booming 
in here when I clicked over to him, and I gave one call at the end of a 
QSO, and he came back with a 579.  I gave me report, and he said roger, 
and went qrt.   I was frantic, since never heard him give his call.  
Never came back, so I emailed him, and he said , yes, it was me he 
answered.   whew.  I hate that!    I do have, though, 15 contacts with 
HK logged from Virginia, and thought that was tuff.  Having spent almost 
3 years there myself, I know its hard to the east coast.  He and at 
least two others were spotted, and I heard them on the 19th, so 
conditions have been quite good that direction.  With the opening of a 
couple of the nearby islands, to housing, the guys are actually living 
in something except sky high flats, and have more room for antennas.  I 
cant say having a AVQ14 on top of a 21 story building hurt me back then, 
but today, those building keep going up and up and that is a short 
building on the main island.  I have been trying for years now to 
schedule a 160 there, and indeed have done so, but never heard them at 
the appointed time.  Its a band I never worked when living there.

Good luck with him, and my card should be going out today or tomorrow 
for that one.
