Fellow CWops Members –

Do you know about the May 2-5 Washington, DC weekend for CW enthusiasts?

It will be a congenial social gathering of folks you have probably worked,
some you’ve maybe even met before.

There is a special hotel rate of $ 90.00 per night at the Fairview Park
Marriott Hotel, 3111 Fairview Park Dr, Falls Church, VA.

There is a LOT to do even besides ragchewing with fellow CW folks. For one,
there is a group dinner Saturday evening at a fun Italian restaurant called
DaDomenico’s at Tyson’s Corner, Virginia. Last year, the guys sat together
and the ladies sat together at other tables; everybody loved that
arrangement! Saturday morning is a brunch at N3JT’s nearby QTH, and Friday
evening is a group pizza adventure in nearby Vienna, Virginia. In between,
there are untold sites, including the Smithsonian museums, national
monuments and of course shopping. Not far away is HRO if you need to see
radio gear. Friday and Saturday there will be a hospitality suite at the
hotel as a common meeting place. This will be the 40th year for this event
in North America, and the 23rd year it has been held in the Washington, DC
area.

If you haven’t been to Washington, DC before or haven’t been here in a
while, why not this year? There is a $25 registration to cover the
hospitality suite and incidental expenses, to be sent to W4ZYT. The hotel
is excellent, inexpensive, and there is plenty of free parking: (

May! You’ll have a fun time – and it’s a wonderful time of the year to be
in the Washington area.
