Hi, DR.
Does your father wear hearing aids? I do, often, but not 100% of the
time. But when I am using the radio, I often have them in
and I acquired through VA the aids and I also got a Bluetooth devise
from them. I wear this little adapter on my neck and I have a cord
that goes from it to my radio earphone jack. The radio's audio then
goes directly into my hearing aids with the equalization that is
compensated for my hearing losses! Pretty darn neat and the VA paid for
them.
By the way, the VA has stepped up their program in the past 3 or 4 years
to deal with hearing loss with us veterans. Because I did not go
through to show my loss was service connected, I had to pay a small
co-pay for my visits, 3 each. I think it amounted to $45 or so,
but the aids were free and the Bluetooth adapter.
Good luck helping dad.
