Joe,
CW operators don't make errors - no "eight dits" signals exist here.
What you did was what any red blooded CW operator would do. Get ready for
spring with a new aluminum planting.
No apologies needed - in fact, I hereby award you the "Antenna Planting
Award" of the CW reflector. Given annually in memory of Jim Hicks, W9TO
and Al Kahn, K4FW. One CFO and one FOC friends who have both earned their
"Solid Gold Vibroplex" - and are sending out beautiful Morse in Heaven
right now.. No QRM, good DX all the time. Life is good.
