Greetings Bruce, et al:
I agree that I think Hans was likely referring to the pound symbol issue. No need to get alarmed! Regarding the Leonessa design. I am the original owner of # 121 WBL V22L ordered early 1999 and built August 1999. The L represents an option, by request only for Stan to insert a set screw through the right paddle arm adjusted to just contact the left lever arm thereby not allowing the paddle to be used in a squeeze or iambic mode. So, 13 years ago, Stan initiated yet another original design that Begali is applying/refining now. As to the rest of your posts, I find them quite informative and appreciate being kept up to date regarding new offerings in the CW world. On another note, I am one of the few reviewers (eham) that found fault in the Begali Simplex Mono due to a design flaw that does not allow ultra close spacing. I suspect the $600 successor has fixed this flaw, unfortunately at that price, I shall never be able to experience first hand the fix myself.
Thanks again for the posts!

Bruce,
I suspect that Hans was just making a joke that the reflector server swallowed up the Euro sign, perhaps because the server dislikes commercial messages? :-)
Indeed, I personally found your post on the Leonessa to be interesting and newsworthy, so thanks for taking the time to post it here.

Hans --
Am I mistaken? I thought this list was about CW. I don't have any financial interest in any amateur radio equipment company. I appreciate quality and Begali products generally exude quality. My posting was a service to other CW operators. Hans, you apparently aren't interested in new developments in the CW world. The dialogue about single-lever versus dual-lever paddles is a spirited one among lots of CW fans. It seems that you don't care. Too bad. The Leonessa is the first attempt I've ever seen to offer one product which may serve operators on both sides of that discussion. Here's what the Leonessa is about: <http://www.i2rtf.com/html/leonessa.html> . I can't fathom why you don't feel that it's appropriate to post information about it here, Hans. What do others think?

Maybe the reflector doesn't enjoy commercial messages.
