I will post a photo when I can get my XYL to take one for me. I took
it completely apart and soaked everything but the base in alcohol. I
scrubbed the base and larger parts with a toothbrush and toothpaste.
Seemed to work well, then washed with soap and water. I have the
older nickel plated model. I replaced the original insulators with
nylon ones from Vibroplex. I also bought weights from Vibroplex, as I
could not get slow enough with the SpeedX weight. It seemed to run at
about 25 wpm and I need 18 wpm. You would think that after 52 years,
that would not be the case. My plastic fingerpieces are not in good
shape, but I have some nice Ebony to carve some new ones, when I find
the time.
