Yann, F5LAW the European Conductor of the Side Swiper Net enjoyed reading
the nice Fable "The Cuckoo And The Cootie" by Alexander De La Fontaine, see
below.

For info on side swiper net go to http://www.sideswipernet.org

David,
The Cuckoo would not eat a cootie. But it would lay it's egg in a Cootie's
nest and expect the Cootie parent to raise the chick when it hatches. Also
the parents will watch the cuckoo chick as it pushes it's fellow Cootie
siblings and eggs from the nest so that it alone gets the undivided
attention of the Cootie parents!Clever bird that it is I have not heard one
for 3 years now.They are a migratory species,just like the Cootie infact!But
becoming rarer as time goes by unlike the Cootie which appears to be
flourishing. The reason could be that the cuckoo's call is always the same
and it's doesn't take long for it's enemies to understand what it is
saying. On the other hand the Cootie is communicating on a much higher level
and present scientific research into the cootie call says that it may
possibly be conveying more intellegent traffic than the Cuckoo.
"But we are not absolutely sure of this at the moment""from what we
understand so far is that the Cooti can count to 599 and know's when its
sunny or rainy"!
