Also, the Danish M. P. Pedersen (maritime) straight key is reputed to be an excellent key -- usually sells for about $100. I find it great for moderate speeds but not for QRQ. Very sturdy, high quality construction.

Subject: [CW] What is a good straight key?
Hey All,
I am looking for a good straight key. I have used mostly keyers and Iambic paddles (Bencher / Vibroplex) for a long time. I was wondering if I could get an idea of what you all think is the BEST straight key. I am looking for the best feel or action. I have an old Signal Company key - but it is not very smooth.
I hope I am making myself clear?
I do not want to tie up the reflector - so please e-mail me directly at:
cbouck01 at twcny.rr.com
Thanks
