[CW] Fw: WWI Veteran Frank Buckles

This is entirely off topic, and I will probably be censored from this group as such, but for all you veterans I have a special request. Mr. Frank Buckles, the LAST surviving WWI veteran passed and a request by his family and West Virginia state representatives to have his body lie in a "State of Honor", at the capital rotunda in Washington, DC has been rebuffed by both the leaders in both the Senate and House. This is a unique opportunity to afford the dignity and respect to the approximate 5 million serviceman whom preceded Mr. Buckles. This is not about one man's contribution, it is well deserved recognition to a generation and a nearly forgotten war. If we miss this opportunity, another will come again when we must choose how we will honor the last WWII survivor. Please contact your state representatives and insist that they get this right.
