[CW] CW MEMORY BUFFER

Sure.

Since I am only interested in contest call signs, the way I am increasing my memory buffer is by making a call sign look-up table in my brain.

Memorization is part of it.

Every morning I print out 20 callsigns from my contest database on a white piece of paper. The calls consist of long and short calls including /QRP, /P, /MM, etc.

I look at the sheet for one minute.

I then turn the sheet over and grab another sheet of paper.

I simply write down as many full and partial calls as possible.

I do it each morning. When I first began doing it 6 months ago, I barely could get 3 full calls and now I can get close to 8 fulls calls on a good day and a bunch of partials.

When a do a RufzXP run of call signs, I look at the logging line and for example this morning when I did a run @ 80wpm, I heard a call and I typed H4VVV and knew from my memory buffer morning drill that it was H44VV because that call has been put in my memory buffer.

I believe that it is more like a memory bank but is helping me lengthen out the buffer.

Just one man's opinion.
