Danny ... you did 25 WPM in the Army training school ? Where ?
I only had to pass 18 WPM at the Ft. Dix NJ radio school in 1956 ...
I must have gone to the "Novice" school ...AN/GRC-9 + J-38 ...

On a related subject. I wonder exactly how these contests are done. Back when I was taking CW tests, we had to copy solid copy, at speed, for 5 minutes. By copy, I mean on paper. I hear guys today, claiming 50-60 wpm, but when pushed, they state they do it "head copy". I do not consider that being able to "copy" at that speed. I too can push myself and "understand" code, faster than my actual copy speed, but wouldnt consider it "copying" at that higher rate. I do admire those who can do 50-60 in their heads, for everyday chat, but I simply cant do it. I cannot remember past the last couple of words, and must at least scribble the major thoughts, such as name, qth, rig, etc. Ive been able to win a couple of cw contests, copying callsigns on paper, at hamfests, etc. , and believe I can keep up with most anyone copying with a MILL or even using the computer keyboard, but 100 wpm is astounding, and I would probably be lucky to just understand anything at that rate. In the army, those who failed to pass the copy tests at 25 wpm, were the ones who were set to copying machine sent 100 wpm - with a machine that wrote a line on paper tape WAY BEFORE COMPUTERS.
